Highway4 & La Bằng Green Tea
Beginning in October, Highway4 Restaurants are once again making a strong
statement regarding their selection of products by making a shift to a new
green tea supplier. Adhering to Fair Trade regulations La Bằng Tea has taken a strong position in demanding satisfactory
conditions for their farmers. In recent years the role of the tea co-operative
has helped to improve the economic fortunes of poor communities in the Dai Tu
region, Thai Nguyen province, and offered the chance of stable employment.
La Bằng Tea does not only taste exceptionally refreshing but also assists
in weight reduction making it the perfect finish to any meal at Highway4!
The Rice Bowl
According to the latest statistics from the Vietnam Food Association, the
population of the two major urban centres, Hanoi and HCMC, is 90%
supplied with poor quality rice. Spurred on by this concern Highway4 has
carefully sought a new rice supplier for our restaurants, resulting in a rice
which is not only clean and nutritious but perfect in taste. Đức Phương Rice is certificated by the General Directorate for Standards,
Metrology and Quality.
A New Taste for October
Throughout
October guests at Highway4 can choose from a selection of special rice-based
dishes inspired by this change in direction.
